One thing about working from home, Friday no longer feels like Friday. The computer looms large, with access to work just a few stairs down to the basement away.
People from work are also flexing their hours, so to respond to co-workers within a reasonable period I feel a bigger pull towards my folding table office in my makeshift office next to the boiler.
This distributed work arrangement has both pros and cons. I’m experiencing so much more with #Chuck as she passes 6 months old, starts to develop a sense of object permanence (so I’m told) and develops quicker than I could imagine.
Of course, balancing two careers in a household while trying to provide direct care to the baby comes with a daily balancing act, calendar scrub and inevitable friction between me and the #cohabitant.
It’s only temporary right?
