Still Streaking

Thoughts for Friday, 12 February 2021.

The Friday before a federal holiday provides a great opportunity to catch up on work with the majority of our staff absent on what we call a “Day of No Scheduled Activity (DONSA).” We cancel all formal meetings, push of suspenses and enjoy time off.

Presence in every day life.

The thought above came from the Headspace app.

“ya basic”

A couple posts ago, I wrote about some of my 2021 streaks, preferring the term streak to resolution for 2021. I will continue to read and exercise every day, but following a successful dry January, I decided each month to switch out my third streak

February is my month of meditation. Normally, like blogging, I’d half ass a free solution. I’d search for meditation on Spotify or Youtube and go a la carte for a month…. However through happenstance, I received a free year subscription to the aformentioned Headspace app, and I’m nearly two-thirds through their basics course.

So far, I found a month of meditation significantly more difficult that dry January.

I aim to:

– quiet the mind
– improve patience
– encourage mindfulness

And enjoy a drink, occasionally, afterward.

Good introduction to applying linear programming duality to game theory. The example game you describe is not a zero sum game because the gain of one player is not exactly offset by the loss of the other player. Ronnie Brett High
