Sometimes You’re Just Trying to Get It In

That’s what she said.

I don’t have much to say tonight. On Monday, I took the day off. On Tuesday, I fell behind on both work and school work. Tonight, late teleconferences and friction points between staff caused me to get to this blog post an hour later than anticipated.

Is this a throwaway post?

Yes.

But constant reader, do not fret. Let me provide a brief 300 word post that may serve more as a stream of consciousness than well thought out article.

Baby

Charlie met another baby this week. Minus some limited baby interaction at daycare a month prior to COVID, this was our first opportunity to witness her playing with one of her own. As pictured on the post, upon meeting her new friend, she studied, approached, and planted a fat, open-mouthed kiss on the kiddo. My wife (MY WIFE!) and I need to re-evaluate how we constantly smooch on the baby.

Wife

I ordered 4 sharpies for $5 yesterday and they arrived on my doorstep today. The catalyst? My cohabitant stomped around yesterday adamant her father (my father-in-law) misplaced a single Sharpie she then needed to mark milk bags. She neglected to mention the borrowed the single Sharpie to label a few half-used paint cans after he painted both our guest room and full bathroom gratis.

Finally, I’m a week into my fitness commitment and just gingerly approaching the stationary bike, pool, and running shoes. I’m terrified of re-injuring myself, to the point I split the normally huge trash bag into two separate bags before carting them to the dump today. I pay by the bag! That’s how worried I am about reinjuring myself. Just one more week to go before my first promised biweekly check-in on Dad Blog.

That’s 305 words. Nice. (306,now 307, 308, 309…)

Goodnight constant reader, thanks for sticking with it.
